FCA - YSU Game Day (Nov. 4, 2006)
Over 220 students, huddle leaders, and parents joined FCA to cheer our Penquins on to a win over Southern Illinois. The Lord provided a sunny, warm November afternoon once again. Special thanks go the Dolph and Darcy Carroll for providing and barbequing 400 hot dogs for lunch. Seven year NFL veteran (Rams, Colts) and MTV's Made Coach Shawn Harper challenged the FCA group to listen to God's vision for our lives. Below are a few quotes from Shawn's testimony.
Adversity can break you or make you a record breaker.
True leaders look at what they are going to not what they are going through.
You are not born a winner or a looser, you are born a chooser.
Never let a person create your world. They will always create it too small.

Assembly - One Way 2 Play Drug Free! October 4-6, 2005
God is great! Former NFL player John Earle spoke to 3,400 area students. John shared his personal testimony of when he was in the pit of despair his dad told him over the telephone that "Jesus loves you". John got on his knees that evening and commited his life to Jesus Christ. John's message that he chose to receive Jesus Christ as his personal savior reached 3,400 ears. Eighty two (82) students commited and recommited their lives to Jesus Christ this week. Praise the Lord!!!
John, thanks for following God's purpose for your life. |

Great Lakes Region FCA State Golf Tournament
God provided a heavenly day for the nine foursomes that competed in the Great Lakes Region FCA State Golf Tournament. The 2005 net low winning team was lead by the father & son team of Neil and Jay Volk. Neil locked up the win by dropping 40' and 20' putts on the final two holes. Congratulations Neil!
Stay Tuned for the 2006 tournament. We are discussing with Firestone to see if we can play both the North and South (NEC) courses next year.
