Team Feed Program 2008-2009 School Year The FCA Team Feed program is in its seventh year and still having an impact on athletes in the Steel Valley. It was birthed in order to fill the needs of athletic teams that do not have booster clubs in their schools. It has fed football teams during "2-a-day" practices, served pregame meals to basketball and football teams, and even passed out watermelon and popsicles to teams after a grueling practice.
This past Summer FCA helped the East Touchdown Club feed the football team during "2-a-day" practices which went from July 31 - August 14. Each day at 11:15 AM the players lined up in the school cafeteria to enjoy a nourishing meal before beginning another round of afternoon practices. A special thanks to all who made monetary donations to this program and to Josh Horner, owner/operator of Chick-fil-A Southern Park Mall, for his donation of sandwiches.
The Team Feed program is currently ministering to the East girl's basketball team. Before several home games, Michele Lamport and Dottie Reder have prepared and served the girls meals. Along with feeding the girls, a devotion is shared and games are played. Head Coach Taneisha Franklin and Ass't Coach Brenda Scott have been loyal supporters of FCA.

Josh Horner, owner of Chick-fil-A (Southern Park Mall) has really caught the vision of Team Feeds and has donated, delivered and served chicken sandwiches to both the football and girl's basketball teams at the new East High School. Above he is pictured with the East basketball team.

FCA would like to thank Allan McCamon, Hudson Community Chapel, Youngstown Lions Club, Community Foundation, Kennedy Foundation and Davis Foundation for their donations to the Team Feed project.
